barmayden AnneRose Blayk - a character

Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 5:17pm EDT
"AnneRose Blayk is both highly rational and Transsexual per ICD-10 F64.0. … and my beloved husband, Lenora Quvus, is the
ideal person to assist me in this endeavor of transitioning fully, in a loving and caring relationship. - Sincerely,
Bonze Anne Rose Blayk, 2016-05-12 -"

There are people who challenge my rationality simply because I suffer from a birth condition best characterized as
Transsexualism; I've been notably feminine all my life, never quite fit in with "the boys," cried freely when feeling
"emotional" up until the age of 18, and always identified WITH women… rather than "as" a woman?

That sounds rational to me: after all, I do have this "doohickey" that I wish I had not been born with, but instead,
with the "normal complement" of female troubles, moody states, menstruation, and potentially, babies.

:-)

Yeah, I expressed the yearning some months back to my dear husband, Lenora Quvus, that someday with the advantages of
Very High Technology I might be able to bear a child for her?

"Who knows what the future holds? We can only hope that our futures are happy and prosperous, and that others share in
this."

Sincerely,
- barmayden AnneRose Blayk a/k/a bonze blayk,
-- Honorable Wife to Lenora Quvus

PS: Lenora LOVES the "barmayden" vibe, I'm pretty sure, or at least that's what I've gotten from "relating" with her? And for sure,

WE BOTH WANT ME TO GET HUGE BREAST IMPLANTS

You got a problem with that, please: take it up with your therapist or spiritual counselor: why on Earth do you want to
dictate to others how they live, when it fulfills the desires and most deeply held passions of others, and indeed, may
bring genuine happiness to many people?

Think on it. — with bonze blayk.

bonze blayk- Want hardcore evidence that I was transgendered while in the womb? Here's an image of my right hand. My 2D:4D ratio is FEMALE. Period: this is the best evidence available, it is easy to obtain and assess, and it provides the single measure that best distinguishes between "men" and "women": AGGRESSION. Men tend to be much more aggressive than women due to exposure to testosterone during a certain stage of development while still in the womb; women, not so much, and that is the SOLE relevant distinction between men and women. And the jerks who have been targeting me with violent threats and implicit menace? FOAD: "I have friends, because consistently throughout my life, I have been concerned with the welfare of others, and strived to be a helpful and useful person." - Why I was both a highly productive programmer at Cornell and a popular one with the clientele - if not so much with my bosses, given my not inconsiderable temper, which I shared with my mother? - and later on, as the founder and sole owner of databeast, Inc., up until recently, when I shared ownership of the firm with my husband, Lenora Quvus, as President. Thank you, - Bonze AnneRose Blayk

Bonze AnneRose Blayk- In case anybody fails to recognize the lyrics I'm quoting here… it's Steely Dan's "Don't Take Me Alive." A funny thing I realized in the process of working this photoimage up… it's typical of mirror-image selfies, which always give you the left-right axis flipped (just like my "tayrot" throw of the Magician Reversed (Mirror Image) which may have given you all a misleading impression: I can't hold a camera nearly that well with my left hand; sorry, but I'm actually RIGHT-handed? thanks, and again, a million apologies for being confusing (again) - anne/rose https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGA9W_8S1jY

Bonze AnneRose Blayk- … but … Dr. Stackman, our local neurologist, determined that I was LEFT-handed back in 1997… "Mr. Saunders is a 40 year old left handed caucasian male…" - Dr. Stackman ???? -> "BRAIN DAMAGE" - left-handedness is always a symptom related to damage to the left temporal lobe, which I clearly have (see "Geschwind Syndrome"). Nobody else has ever told me I'm left-handed… huh: I guess I just went along with "society" insisting on right-handedness, and dealt with it "somehow." … same thing with being neurologically intersexed, a "woman born transsexual" - I just "dealt with it."

In the long and arduous process of clearing my house, I come across a mirror… hey!

PHOTO-OP

Alyha - the class of Mohave women who were transgendered males, addressed as "she" by the Mohave - have some undesirable
traits, mostly a ferocious temper, but on the plus side?

We dance, and that's the standard by which we select ourselves as alyha… and we clean.

That's what Devereaux claimed in his classic work on the Mohave, "Institutionalized Homosexuality of the Mohave
Indians," and I do believe he's right about that…

On the other hand, being entrenched in a "European Values" paradigm, he can't quite grasp what the Mohave understand,
even in a degenerate state of native culture after a hundred years of oppression by the white man - alyha are women; why
can't he see that?

He's distracted by the cock: all he can see in his world is cock, not the rest of the human being, even though he's a
gifted observer otherwise.

Europeans got too accustomed to looking AT people… not WITH them. I see this as problematic.

Sincerely,
- b.a.r.blayk

Bonze AnneRose Blayk- Nerissa - HELL AND DAMNATION - I DO look like a diaphragm - in the thumbnail! (simmers) "Why are these thumbnail images so TINY? ! This isn't nearly the size of a thumbnail… I'LL SUE!" Cary Lenehan - RROSE SÉLAVY LIVES + "Holy Shit!" - from Wikipedia: "At about this time [1913, at the age of 26], Duchamp read Max Stirner's philosophical tract, The Ego and Its Own, the study of which he considered another turning point in his artistic and intellectual development. He called it '...a remarkable book ... which advances no formal theories, but just keeps saying that the ego is always there in everything.'" I read Stirner at the age of 15, which I am thinking gave me a headstart in "development" over Mme Sélavy? Since, after all, she's "reading it wrong"… to condense in an inappropriate fashion, SOMEBODY'S ego is always there in everything, if not yours, someone else's… and of what does that ego consist? "Nothing". Just nothing, the creative void: from my point of view, mirroring the nature of the cosmos, which is arguably an admirable goal (see "Leisure: The Basis of Culture" for a groundpoint). It may be a little bit chaotic, but just a little; as we have learned through scientific inquiry… many outcomes in life are highly predictable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcel_Duchamp

Bonze AnneRose Blayk- Nope. Truth is, I'm not the reincarnation of Rrose. From one of the reviews on Google Books: "Brilliant, obtuse, and border line insane. I would love to have spent a few drunken nights talking with this unique writer." It only reads as "border line insane" because few of us are willing to admit that we are slaves to our heritage: "gene machines" become "meme machines". We're all slaves. It's just the way we are? … but you can loosen the bonds imposed by blind adherence to "ideals" by acknowledging this truth, and so not wind up as a witless zombie. http://archive.org/details/theegoandhisown34580gut

Back when I was first coming out publicly, I indulged my ironic tendencies in a rather bizarre interplay between "Kevin Eric Saunders a/k/a bonze blayk" and "Anne Rose Blayk" in a MySpace Music Forum called "What did I do to piss off Metal Mike?" - he's my brother? Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 8:40pm EDT
Bonze AnneRose Blayk- And… to express my feelings on the subject? I responded: _____ Kevin Eric Saunders a/k/a bonze blayk Tuesday, April 13, 2010 9:48 PM Noooo, quite... quite wrong. Annie and I are inseparable, in the literal meaning of the word. Really, I'm just her shadow. In the depths of the night, I disappeared; she remained... though you could no longer see her. Don't think about it, and you will know that there are no paradoxies involved here. Together we're just manifestations of the Universal Wave Function, like all the bits of all the worlds we together do (or do not) perceive, most mysterious, weaving in and out of realities, transposing, intermingling, shifting, and remaining. Forever. "All things recur eternally, and we ourselves too; and that we have already existed an eternal number of times, and all things with us." The Birth Of Tragedy -- Friederich Nietzsche http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Wave_Function ______ In transition… I'm not giving up on anything. I'm just doing my best to make sure that people no longer mistake that shadow, which is as much a product of their own projections and fears, along with assumptions about what a person assigned as a male at birth is SUPPOSED to be. … the bizarre part is that I'm having to be more assertive than I've ever wanted to be in order to do this, because our culture is so hostile to the truths that are expressed in the identifies of transgendered women.

James DuganSo - I'm not the only one to find Bonze a bit byzantine? Good, I thought I was missing something. :D FWIW, I don't find either one of you 'mediocre'... :) You 'struggle' because you are outside what some think of as 'normal'. In engineering, the higher the pressure there is, the more important integrity is - society exerts pressure. I see you both as seeing clearer than most - because you stand outside the mundane. I merely stand on the edge....
Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 9:15pm EDT
Bonze AnneRose Blayk- "Baroque" is the preferred term, James… "The term Baroque probably ultimately derived from the Italian word barocco, which was a term used by philosophers during the Middle Ages to describe an obstacle in schematic logic. Subsequently the word came to denote any contorted idea or involuted process of thought." Sometimes such processes are a necessity if one wishes to surmount those barriers. Moreover… the most difficult barriers are those we impose on ourselves by refusing to reflect deeply on multiple perspectives on a topic… and the potential for interactions between them. It's a genuine PITA taking other people seriously.
Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 10:18pm EDT
James Dugan<chuckle> I suppose that is a better word....now that I know the entymology of it. People take their tiny little islands of what they see as "reasonable" and NEVER leave there - setting up walls to protect their pre-concieved notions. I don't know whether or not setting up for a siege is even worth the trouble, honestly. I know I did for years - with always this 'something' going on in the background - something that scared me to think about, honestly. Once I discovered my island was a small piece of dry land in a forest, and there was a meadow next door - well - the door came open on MY closet. Still scares the hell outta me. ...where'd all this depth come from? I don't really remember being able to think like this before. Multiple angles on a single idea? ALMOST able to do that more than a few times a day now. Yeah - I knew what the thing with three 'handles' is supposed to be - sort of clumsy looking.
Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 10:47pm EDT
James DuganHere's a poser - if one is more pre-disposed to orient more than one way, does that contribute to ones ability to see multiple sides of an argument I wonder?
Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 10:59pm EDT
Cary LenehanDefinitely baroque rather than byzantine (says the byzantine).
Monday, October 1, 2012 at 3:22am EDT
James Dugan:) Just so that I'm not misunderstood... Definition of BYZANTINE 1: of, relating to, or characteristic of the ancient city of Byzantium 2: of, relating to, or having the characteristics of a style of architecture developed in the Byzantine Empire especially in the fifth and sixth centuries featuring the dome carried on pendentives over a square and incrustation with marble veneering and with colored mosaics on grounds of gold 3: of or relating to the churches using a traditional Greek rite and subject to Eastern canon law 4often not capitalized a : of, relating to, or characterized by a devious and usually surreptitious manner of operation <a Byzantine power struggle> b : intricately involved : labyrinthine <rules of Byzantine complexity> ...I was using the last... I don't know Bonze's ancestral extraction. :D
Monday, October 1, 2012 at 8:23am EDT
Bonze AnneRose Blayk- Cary Lenehan - "Definitely baroque rather than byzantine (says the byzantine)." (nods) "Thank you, Baron, for your kind remark." ;-) … snippets from the Wikipedia article on Baroque… "In informal usage, the word baroque can simply mean that something is "elaborate", with many details…" … "In modern usage, the term "Baroque" may still be used, usually pejoratively, describing works of art, craft, or design that are thought to have excessive ornamentation or complexity of line, or, as a synonym for "Byzantine", to describe literature, computer software, contracts, or laws that are thought to be excessively complex, indirect, or obscure in language, to the extent of concealing or confusing their meaning." Some people like to make things complicated in order to inflict confusion on others. On the other hand… some people are addicted to simplicity for the sake of avoiding awareness that "some problems are extraordinarily complex"… like in, say, espionage? On the gripping hand, some people have taken one too many shocks to the left temporal lobe and consequently obsess over details that may not even matter; YMWV. ;-) "Baroque is a style of unity imposed upon rich, heavy detail." - Architecture "Baroque style featured 'exaggerated lighting, intense emotions, release from restraint, and even a kind of artistic sensationalism'." - Painting "St. Theresa's face reflects not the anticipation of ecstasy, but her current fulfillment.… This is widely considered the genius of Baroque, although this mix of religious and erotic imagery was extremely offensive in the context of neoclassical restraint. " … "mix of religious and erotic imagery … " √ ;-) ON THE OTHER HAND my favorite painter is Vermeer, and my favorite styles of architecture are Art Deco and Bauhaus/modernist for residences. "Go figure." … my counterpart Sue is the one whose favorite period is the Baroque… I feel like it's overdone? But I do tend to -think- that way. That's probably due to brain damage, which is also why I kind of identify, just a bit, with Bear's character in "/" - Seefa Schnee… just the right amount of brain damage might do your overall capabilities a world of good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baroque
Monday, October 1, 2012 at 9:41am EDT
Bonze AnneRose Blayk- James - "if one is more pre-disposed to orient more than one way, does that contribute to ones ability to see multiple sides of an argument?" I tend to think that in my own case, being stuck on the farther side of an "excluded middle" tended to make me more flexible intellectually? I have an intrinsic mistrust of stark dichotomies, and think pure binaristic thinking is wrong more often than not.
Monday, October 1, 2012 at 9:52am EDT
Cary LenehanOne of the few characteristics I would ascribe is iconoclasm - when it suits.
Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:37am EDT
James Dugan"I have an intrinsic mistrust of stark dichotomies, and think pure binaristic thinking is wrong more often than not." ..the further away I get from my 'causal event', the more I slide towards that point of view. For years, I tried to play 'black and white' with all things - that works SOME times, but honestly not that often - certainly not often enough to satisfy the 'military engineer' mindset that I relied on for so long. Humans are simply too complex to work that way except in the most dire psychopathic cases. The more is known about someone , the more details 'pop' out, and the harder it is to squeeze them all into a coherent whole. The same can be said of many things. Perhaps, Baroque and Byzantine are near-antonyms of each other. Baroque being the intent of forcing uniformity out of disparate facts, and byzantine being the intent of forcing needless complications upon something simple..... I try to simplify things, doesn't always work.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObiEQdh72Us
Monday, October 1, 2012 at 6:31pm EDT
Bonze AnneRose Blayk- "Baroque… forcing uniformity out disparate facts…" Well, no; it's a design principle. One uses an enormous range of design elements, extremely ornate, vivid, and dramatic, and draws them together into a whole… If it's done right, it has great impact. Well, that's what they say; I think it's kind of overdone? LOL That's art. I think that if you're trying to make sense out of life, as a whole, the logics and presentation involved will be… baroque. Of necessity.
Monday, October 1, 2012 at 7:37pm EDT
James DuganWhere - in engineering - if you try to make it too complicated - it'll easily be br-oke.... :D
Monday, October 1, 2012 at 7:44pm EDT
James DuganYes - I got that it's a design principle. Hmmm - God being a Baroque Artist specializing in biology is an interesting idea.... But when we're talking people - it's not - it's an interpretation of composition....

James Dugan"imipramine" ? I'm taking something more modern - Viibryd. I had the brain zaps for about a month at the beginning - actually kept be up - and WOKE me up at times. Been on it since - early April? A bit weepy at times, but I'd rather have that than feel nothing. As to the symbol - perhaps a square - each side color coded to the person that wears/bears it. <We are a persecuted minority, may as well use irony to accentuate it to our political advantage> - 4 sides to represent: - Identity - pink to blue - across the top, I'd be a bluish purple (MOSTLY male, shifts though, so...) - Attraction - pink to blue - right side, I'd be (pinkish purple - MOSTLY women, shifts though, so...) - Expression - pink to blue - left side (eventually purple - androgynous) - Sex - pink to blue - on the bottom <!> - (Blue - for now) Perhaps a cross or arrow coming from the bottom.

The Macintosh Desktop icons from 1984 for my terminal emulator, dubbed "dumb virtue", because it seemed like it was
something worthwhile but maybe not something that would be financially remunerative,† and after all it was a "dumb

It's an old joke and a dumb one, and so of course I used Laurel and Hardy as models for the EUNUCHS on the application

Naturally.

This Polaroid was probably taken sometime in 1972 (?).

Leslie and me, Me and Leslie, what a pair!

Forlorn in the background is the Silvertone guitar which Mike will be adopting shortly (Dan-Electro like Masonite guitar
manufactured by Harmony - see http://www.silvertoneworld.net/electric/1420_21_1326_27/1420_21_1326_27.html.

Resort not to the "pencil-necked geek" calumny: my arms may look like pipestems... but my neck is as thick as that of an
ox (oh great). So... you must content yourself with "geek", OK?

....

I thought I should also give credit here to the persons responsible for my acquisition of Leslie: my father and one of
his jazz-guitarist friends. I was looking for a guitar that would be an improvement over the Silvertone in the
background here, seeking either an SG or a Strat... Dad lined up a meeting with his friend and contemporary, who had
Leslie stashed underneath their family sofa, strung with .012 flatwounds.

My first response on seeing her was: THAT'S NOT A LES PAUL! ... greeted with: Ah, but yes, this is! He sold it to me for
$250... an amazing deal, and a gesture wonderfully kind!

Chris ProrockTo be ordained an official "pencil neck geek", one must be blessed by the one and only Classy Freddie Blassie. Don't accept any imitations!

"The Last Dance... of the Hooved Race." (p.1/3)

This piece of Creative Writing (shudder) was composed over the course of two days in January 1992.

The idea came to me as I was waiting for the TCAT bus at the West End to go up to work at Cornell: what if... there
really WAS another intelligent species on this planet? Not "HIM" (Satan, The Deceiver, The Father of Lies, etc.)...
THEM.

Where did they go?

I couldn't avoid the fascination, and wrote the only piece of fiction of my adult life; almost invariably, when I catch
a fictional bug, it goes into treatments for screenplays... and mostly Rx-rated screenplays, at that!

"The Last Dance... of the Hooved Race." - bonze blayk, p.2/3.

Bonze AnneRose Blayk"The list of lies it spoke was endless — sometimes almost a boring litany. The major ones I remember were: humans must defend themselves in order to survive and cannot rely on anything other than themselves in their defense; everything is explainable in terms of negative and positive energy (which balance out to be zero), and there is no mystery in the world; love is a thought and has no objective reality; science is whatever one chooses to call science; death is the absolute end to life — there is no more; all humans are motivated primarily by money, and if this appears not to be the case, it is only because they are hypocrites; to compete for money, therefore, is the only intelligent way to live." "Satan can use any human sin or weakness — greed and pride, for instance. It will use any available tactic; seduction, cajolery, flattery, intellectual argument. But its principal weapon is fear. And in the postexorcism period, after its lies had been exposed, it was reduced to haunting both patients with dully repetitive threats: 'We will kill you. We will get you. We will torture you. We will kill you.'" "As well as being the Father of Lies, Satan may be said to be a sprit of mental illness. In The Road Less Traveled I defined mental health as 'an ongoing process of dedication to reality at all costs.' [p.51] Satan is utterly dedicated to opposing that process. In fact, the best definition I have for Satan is that it is a real spirit of unreality." — M. Scott Peck, M.D. — People of the Lie: The Hope for Healing Human Evil — p. 207 - comment added 2/12/11

12/4/2010

Bonze AnneRose Blayk- A year after I posted this, my mother would once again complain to me… "You're a SKUNK!" - and then for the first time, elaborate: "Like that character in Pogo… Miss… Miss…" "Miss Mam'selle Hepzibah, Mom! I used that as my Profile Photo on Facebook!"" ZUT ALOURS! … and I had always hated that "You're a SKUNK!" label, when she used it as a criticism… but tell me, what's wrong with being intrinsically incomprehensible, when no-one speaks your language? Is that a crime? PS: The character was based on Walt Kelly's mistress, just FYI.

OK, I musta kinda sorta made up the definition I put in my Profile note, which has been in my CV since 1993... but it's
pretty good, right?

"A pale shining yellow, the color of the midwinter sun"... an aspiration, if not always a reality, hence "bblayk".

(Scanned on November 30, 2010, from Anne Marie Whelan's micro-print edition of the OED, the very same volume in which I
came across "blayk" sometime in 1991 or 1992 while searching for a last name alliterative with "bonze"... thanks to Anne
Marie for the loan of the dictionary!)
